Guitar Pick Pendant tutorial!

Finally I got around to making a tutorial for this, so fun, a little tedious, but worth it!  I actually got this from a jewelry magazine my papaw gave me called Art Jewelry.
First, get some picks, 3 is a good amount, bc your gonna stack them, 2 pretty ones for the outsides and the other it doesn't really matter unless your outside ones are clear like mine, so I used this white shell one, it made a cool effect.  I just had these that I've collected, but I'm really excited to go to Guitar Center to get some cool ones.

This is the string I had, it's braiding cord, it's actually a little thinner than the kind used on the one I got this project from, so I doubled up and it worked out good, but any size that will fit through the loops will do.  I got this from Walmart last year they have all different colors, I'm thinking it was about 3 dollars.

These I got from Walmart $2, just some jump rings, three different sizes, in this I used the two smaller ones.
Also, I used Needle Nose Pliers and scissors.
So In total  that's 66 of the smallest, I believe they are 3mm, and 22 of the medium ones, 4mm.  I also used 2 more of the 4mm at the end to tighten it up.
Ok so start by making a chain 11 4mm rings with 2 3mm rings in between each, 22 in all.

Then connect to make a loop.

Make two of these.

To make things easier, I went ahead and opened all the remaining 3mm rings.
I found holding them this way makes things easier.

Now connect the two loops together at the 4mm rings with 2 3mm rings.

Do this all the way around till you only have 3 4mm rings unconnected.
Now slide the picks in and connect the remaining rings around them.
All connected!
I added these 2 4mm rings at the top because it was pretty loose and I didn't want the picks falling out.  Maybe you could stack a couple more picks, or maybe use slightly smaller rings, or less rings, I'm still working out the kinks, but I'm very satisfied with this one!

More Followers!!!!

So I have a total of 16 followers (love each and every one of you!), which has to be some kind of record lol.  I want more followers, but how I usually add every new one that I see if I like it.  I been trying to comment often but sometimes I just look at new stuff and forget to comment, but I'm trying to change that, I love comments and I'm sure everyone else does also!
So anybody got any tips for how to increase my number of followers, I do wish this site had notifications, like when you get new followers or when someone comments!  Feedback please!

Irish toes and a crafty tip from Chloe's Nails!

So these were my St. Patty's Day toes, had to make sure I didn't forget my green!
Also, I've been trying new things with my hair, this is a side sock bun with braids. I really liked it!
So I got this idea from Chloe's Nails.
I'm in love, she used craft scissors with scotch tape.  I did 2 coats of Sinful Colors Why Not, cut a piece of scotch tape in half with my craft scissors and laid it down to have my design in the middle which is SC Black On Black, and a top coat, it smeared a tiny bit on my right hand but it still looked pretty awesome.  I actually never use scotch tape bc it never works for me but she also has tips on her page and she said to stick it to your skin a few times to take away some sticky, and it totally worked and I'll deff be using it more often!

Simple Mani & Guitar Pick Pendant

So, I really didn't feel like doing much to my nails, so I figured french tips!
Lacey Lilac and a sticker!
So on to my real post, Guitar pick pendant!  I'm so excited about this, I actually got the idea out of this jewelry magazine that my papaw gave me, Art Jewelry I think it's called it has a lot of wire jewelry and such but this is the only project that caught my eye.
This was very tedious wor, but I'm so happy with the way it turned out.  I didn't know if it was gonna be good so I didn't take pictures along the way.  I'll deff be making more so expect a tutorial soon!
These are just some old picks, but I really want to go look for really awesome ones!
The back can be awesome too so it could be reversible.
Oh I just love it, I'm giving it to my buddy Matt bc he supplied the picks, can't wait to make more!

More Crackle Of Course, and my Toe's debut!

So, I just am not done with crackle, I'm wanting to do it over water marble though, so maybe one more!
So this is how I started, this is one coat of Avon Nialwear Pro-Viva Pink
Followed by one coat of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear-Rockstar, I'm in love with this glitter!
Alternating crackles in Black Mesh and Cracked Concrete, I love it but I wish the glitter was more apparent.  I've already taken this off and there was glitter everywhere, why is it so hard to take off, tell me!
Also, I recently found out that you can use temp tats on your nails, exciting!  I got these the other night and realized they would be perfect for trying this, and they are sooooo cute Lollipop toes!  So, there you have it, my hobbit feets, but at least the nails are cute!

Crackle Exchange!

So I was very excited when I called Sally's and they said they would exchange my polish no problem.  They were out of the white so I had to get a different color (I was not upset about this lol).  I chose Cracked Concrete, this darkish grey, and I love almost as much if not more than the black.
So this is alternating Sinful Colors-Beautiful Girl and this blue-green I mixed.

Cracked Concrete on top and like three top coats bc I hate the way the crackle feels, and some nail stickers!

More Crackle and a tragedy!

So I went to open my Lightening Bolt last night and this happened!
Disaster!  I've never had this happen before and it made me very upset.

It got all over my favorite pants, and that's almost impossible to get out.
Anyways I wrote China Glaze and I'm gonna see about getting a replacement from Sally's.

So, this was my mani, I did alternating Black On Black and Snow Me White, then Neon Melon On the white.  Then the Black Mesh on the crazy yellow and after the bottle incident I put the Lightening Bolt on the black because I figured it was my last chance to use it if I can't get a replacement.  I think I'll do one more crackle mani before moving on, I just want to do something different this time, still considering.
