Crazy about Crackle!

So I've grown out of my polish box and had to get a bigger one, and a few new polishes of course.
Here it is all packed up.
All my polishes, and I have a little room to grow in this one!
So how excited was I when I went into my local Sally's to get a buffer block and they finally got the Crackle Glaze and they had one black left!  So I got Black Mesh and Lightening Bolt to start out, I want all of them!  I was so excited I broke them out in the Walmart parking lot and painted over what I had on, but as soon as I got home I had to do them!
So I broke another nail on this hand and so I cut them all down so one hand is short nails and the other is long, it's pretty weird but I like the variety.  Anyways, this is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Mint Sorbet with alternating crackles, I love love love the black, the white is more subtle and I think better with a darker color, but I was just playing around with them anyways.

This side is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Lacey Lilac, I like the white more with this purple, and the black I think will look great over anything.
So on Chloe's Nails she did one where she layered and it looked very cool, so I tried it since I'm ready to redo anyways.  Mine deff is not as pretty as hers but I do like the idea of layering, maybe with different colors.

I like the white on top better I think, I'm so happy I own some of these now, new nails tomorrow!

Spring Is Almost Here!!

Bought a couple new polishes today that I've been eying for a while.
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Mint Sorbet, and Lacey Lilac on the shunned finger lol

Tips in the Lilac

And some polka dots in Sally Hansen-White On.  Very Easter-y, but I was really happy with the way they turned out.

SAD FACE!!!

So...this disaster happened!
I really don't want to cut them all down again, so I've decided to shun it!
I did this one the other day, I got this new Wet n Wild-Gray's Anatomy and I was very excited about it, it's not as fabulous out of the bottle but it's alright, that's 3 coats and I could've done another, it was very sheer.  My shunned finger is Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear-Celeb City, all with a Sinful Colors-Green Ocean, and a Crayola nail sticker on the middle also.
So I did this patchwork mani today with Sinful Colors-Why Not and Innocent, and Avon Nailwear Pro-Viva Pink, and a sticker that matches wonderfully.  I've only done 1 or 2 patchwork manis (I saw this first on Chloe's Nails) and mine never come out perfect, but I use plumbers tape because it's not sticky, scotch tape never works for me, unless I wait extra long in between steps, and who has the time.  I was satisfied with this though, I love the color combo!

New Mani and One Crafty Day!

This mani was supposed to be more V-dayish but it actually reminds more of Hannah Montana or something, even so I've been wanting to try Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear-Celeb City, and it's fabulous!
So Celeb City, Orly-Purple Pleather, and Avon SpeedDry-Strawberry, and some nail stickers of course.
Today, I feel like I've been crafting like crazy, thought I'd share a few things.
So Thursday was Girl's Night, and we made these button rings (thanks Dee!), sooooo cute, and it's my bff's b-day, so I really wanted to make her a couple.

Start with a piece of elastic of a comfortable width, the thinner ones seem more comfortable to me, I had to cut mine in half.  Measure around the finger you want to wear it with a little bit of excess.

Do a few stitches to make it a loop, you can tie off and cut but it's really easier to just keep going.

Add a button.

And another!
And bing-bong, button rings, 15 min craft project, I can't stop making them!

Then I made a bow ring, with the elastic, it's a little bigger than I meant, but I actually like it's massiveness.

And finally a duct tape ring, all duct tape, also inspired by Deeanna.

Quick Valentine Nails and Hair Clip

Soo, first off, I made a hair clip that I'm very excited about, kind of my first one.  Ever since I organized I've had it in my head, and I'm really happy with the way it turned out and want to make more!!
I feel like it doesn't pop as much as I want it to against my dark hair.
Soooo, cute, comments?
Also, I'm not a fan of V-day, but why not an excuse to do a cute manicure, I didn't feel like like doing much, plus I'll probably be re-doing them before Monday.
So, just tips in Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear-White On, and Sinful Colors-Gogo Girl
And Nicole by OPI-Love Your Life, it's a glitter with hearts, I've had it forever but I have to force the hearts onto the brush, but I do love it.  I also added a topcoat, but after a couple of hours and a load of dishes I've lost one:(

Cupcake nails!!!

I've been wanting to do cupcake nails for a while, I finally did them and they turned out awesome, and it was pretty easy!
So I didn't take pictures as I went but it was really simple.  I started with some tips with Confetti-Moonstruck, and drew a few lines with a yellow Art Deco striper.  The colors I used on the icing are a barbie pink that I mixed a while back, Orly-Purple Pleather, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Green With Envy, White On, and Blue Me Away.  For that part, I just took the polish brush with a little polish on it and just kind of dotted it in, it doesn't have to be perfect, it's icing!  The cherry is Sinful Colors-Gogo Girl, and the sprinkles I used some Nail Star 2-way nail art pens.  I was really excited with how these turned out!!!

Craft Organization!

Short post, but I have nothing else to write about and I really want to post something!  So I've been wanting to get one of those big plastic drawer things to store my craft stuff in, mine has been a little unorganized lately and it's been driving me CRAZY!  Walmart had them on sale for $12, I was extra excited!!!  So I went searching for everything crafty I own, it seems like it took me all day, lol.  Also, I dont really have any floor space available, so I cleared out a space in my closet and it fit in perfect, my closet was also in need of some rearranging, double whammy!  Also, my dad surprised me with a new glue gun (the one I've been using is ancient and a tad bit sketchy) and a huge bag of gluesticks to add to my new drawers, deff gonna be breaking that in soon!
Wish I had have thought to take a before picture, lol, it was awful
Mostly tools and paper

Beads and string

Odds and ends, ribbon, glue, glitter!
So yay!!!!  Very exciting, I've been wanting to do this for a while, and going through all my stuff gave me tons of ideas!!  Now I have to find another place to keep my yoga ball bc I refuse to deflate it.

Green Ocean and clippers!

So my mom ordered these nifty clippers from Avon, I don't really use clippers on my fingernails, but I usually do on my toes, these are really cool and they have this long handle.  I've been filing my toenails down lately but I really wanted to try these and as always I trimmed a little too much, but whatevs it's not flip flop weather yet :)
Also, I stopped in the Walgreens and bought this polish that I pick up every time I go in and always put it back down, I've been looking for Red Ocean but they never have it around here, so I settled for this one and I LOVE it!  This is my first flakie glitter, and I love the look but I don't really care too much for the way it applies, very chunky.  I also did several topcoats because I love that smooth feeling with polish, but it's still pretty rough :(
This is one coat Orly-Purple Pleather with two coats of Sinful Colors-Green Ocean, and a little bow from these cute Crayola nail stickers I recently bought.  I couldn't really get a good picture, but this was the best one.  I did this over black on my toes and like it a lot more, but I will spare you my hobbit feet for now, lol.  I still really like it with this purple though.  So that's 2 coats of glitter and at least 3 topcoats, it's gonna be fun taking this one off, I always regret glitter but I just cant stop!

Water Marbling with Hollie!

I've done water marbling a few times, and I'm never completely happy with it.  I love how delightfully random it is though.
I did 1 coat of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear-Wet Cement for my base.  I used Wet Cement, Avon SpeedDry-Strawberry, and Kiss Nail Art Paint for the marbling.  The tips are Pure Ice-French Kiss and a couple of nail stickers I've had for a while, and a topcoat!

I was pretty happy with the way most of them came out, but it probably wont stay on very long, we shall see.
